Rides
Our rides are suitable for a wide range of cyclists who would like to cycle more, meet new people and try out some of the great routes right here on our doorstep in the Maidenhead area.
Get the whole family out on their bikes, and join us for a ride of around 8 miles on cycle paths, at a steady pace, so everyone has a great time.
These bikes rides are run by local Maidenhead Cycle Hub volunteers who are qualified ride leaders.
We can also run organised rides on request for community groups e.g. guides and scouts.
See our latest rides in our Scheduled Rides listing (on the right) and check out other Maidenhead community rides.
Registration
The Bike Rides are FREE of charge, and will be either run as a FAMILY/BEGINNER ride or an ADULT ride and everyone is welcome to come along.
Cycle helmets are obligatory. We have hi-viz vests available should you wish to wear them.
Please register in advance to let us know you are coming by emailing rides@cyclehub.org.uk
Routes
Family Rides
Here are examples of our FAMILY bike rides, starting from:
- OCKWELLS PARK (from Cox Green to Littlewick Green)
- KIDWELLS PARK (from central Maidenhead to Cookham)
- BRAY LAKE (to Dorney Lake and some of the Jubilee River).
They are almost completely off road – on gravel paths, tarmac, low traffic roads etc. Suitable for all cyclists, even children as young as 8 pedaling under their own steam.
Adult Rides
Our ADULT bike rides are on quiet roads, typically around Cookham and Burchetts Green. Suitable for more experienced cyclists who are happy to cycle up to 20 miles. We do not have a minimum speed on either ride….no one is left behind!
