These monthly classes are run on a Saturday by one of our qualified workshop mechanics. See full details and prices below.
- ‘BASIC’ class in the morning – 10 am – 12.30 pm
- ‘INTERMEDIATE’ in the afternoon – 2 pm – 5.30 pm

Our Maintenance class sessions are designed for keen cyclists who want to do more of their own bike maintenance. Cycle Hub Basic and Intermediate Maintenance classes will get you off to a flying start.
Our professionally qualified mechanics will give step-by-step practical tuition on how to look after your bike and the tools required to keep it in excellent condition, ensuring your bike will run safely and smoothly at all times.
Bike Maintenance Classes take place at our Bell Street workshop in Maidenhead.

Basic Maintenance
£30 – Starts 10am until 12:30pm
- Basic tools
- Identify parts of a bike
- Standard M-Check for bike safety
- Tyre pressure guidelines
- Correct wheel removal & replacement
- Changing tyres
- Mend a puncture and fit an inner tube
- Replace and adjust brake blocks/pads
- Clean and lubricate chain and cables
- Common minor adjustments
Intermediate Maintenance
£35 – Starts 2pm until 5:30pm
- Advanced Tools
- Correctly tighten bolts & screws
- Pedal removal and replacement
- Inspect & replace external brake cables
- Identify bike cables
- Fit new internal brake cables
- Eliminate stiff chain links
- When to change a chain
- Chain replacement (break and re-join}
- Lubricate chains & gear cables
- Change your gear cables
- Derailleur set-up and adjustment
- Basic wheel trueing
