Maidenhead Cycle Hub was delighted to be able to offer bike checks, advice on cycling and an organised ride for a local business Glaxo Smith Klein.
Our qualified head mechanic and one of our volunteers visited their premises and a delivered a full day of Dr Bike checks on bikes that were either ridden or brought in by their staff on the day. This included checking brakes, gears, tyres, wheel alignment and other minor adjustments. The team worked on over 15 bikes during the day including some which were then used in the organised ride.
At the end of the day two of our volunteers took several staff members from GSK on an 8 mile ride around the area from their office. All participants thoroughly enjoyed their ride and some learnt new routes to try when cycling to/from work
GSK booked for two more days following the success of this day.
